Sport Relief Mile

March 20, 2016 @ 13:00 - 16:00

The Cricket Club is once again hosting Redbourn’s own Sport Relief Mile. It will take place on the Common on Sunday 20 March

Enter the event, run the mile (or 3 or 6 miles) and raise money for Sport Relief and the great work they do. We will be hosting two separate “waves” of runs, the first at 1.30pm will be for the traditional one mile run around the Common whilst the second wave at 2.00pm will offer a three or six mile alternative for the more ambitious

To register and get your fund raising pack, please go to the Sport Relief website and look for the Redbourn Common Mile. Anybody can enter, whether cricket club members or not, but of course it would be nice to have as many of the club running as possible

Volunteers to help on the day. As hosts, the club need a minimum of 20 volunteers (members, junior parents, social members, friends etc.) on the afternoon doing things such as hosting the signing in, briefing the runners, marshalling the course and handing out the medals. Volunteers will need to be there from 12.30pm for a briefing and of course can also run in one of the waves as well if they like. We should be done by 3.30pm. We will also need 6 people in the morning before the event for an hour to set up the finish area. To volunteer please email me at richard_amos@btopenworld.com. Thanks.

We’re limited to 200 places for the event as a whole and they are already filling up fast. So please get entering and also ping me an email with offers to help
