Draft Detailed Local Plan Public Consultation

All communities must have plans for future building development setting out what can be built and where. Such documents are called Local Plans.

The Council is currently consulting on a draft Detailed Local Plan (DLP) for St Albans City and District.

When adopted, the DLP will add detail to the Strategic Local Plan (SLP) using policy text and a Policies Map. The DLP covers topics such as specifying Green Belt boundaries, the design and layout of new development and protecting the environment and residential amenity.

Have your say. Help shape the content of the Detailed Local Plan by giving us your views.

A six week consultation runs until 5pm, 21 December 2016.

To participate, please register on the consultation portal.
