WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN TO RING A BELL?

The bellringers of St Mary's, Redbourn, regularly ring the church bells, on Sunday mornings 9 - 9.30 and usually at least once a month from 6 - 6.30pm for the Sunday evening service.

We need more bellringers and would welcome any aspiring or lapsed ringers to come to one of our Tuesday evening practice sessions which begin at 7.45 pm.

Young people generally need to be at least 12 years of age or tall and strong enough to handle our bells. Adults of all ages are also welcome as long as they are able to manage the spiral staircase to the belfry.

Bellringers is a sociable hobby, which keeps you fit body and mind. It takes several months to learn to ring a bell, and years to develop expertise, but don't let this put you off. Think of it as a challenge! If you would like to learn to ring, we can teach you.
