East Common Mount Pleasant Terrace Nos. 13,14,15,16,17

These houses were once referred to as ‘Dirt House Row’. Irish families who had fled from the Irish potato famine of the 1840’s lived there.  However, by the time of the 1861 census, the name had been changed to Mount Pleasant.
