The buildings we see now are modern and are part of Forge End Place, built in the 1980’s

In the older photo you can see the end of the Queen Victoria pub then Cooper’s Bakery. Then there is a group of two cottages, followed by a wooden barn type premises and one more house before the opening to the forge.
