North Common No. 27

This house is listed as being mid-18th century with details added in the 19th century. The attractive façade is of red chequered brick. There is a plain tile roof. The house has two stories with sash windows. The front door is central and has a flat hood above and a reeded frame. There is a blank window above the door. The eaves have a moulded wood cornice and there is a large chimney stack on the left enclosed by a late 18th or early 19th century weatherboarding. A number of outbuildings are shown on the 1878 map of Redbourn.
